2. Customer account
You do not need an account to buy. If you create one, you are responsible for the accuracy of the details you provide and for keeping your password confidential, and you must tell us immediately about any unauthorised use. You can also sign in with your Google account where that option is available.
3. Orders
Orders are placed on the website by selecting products, entering billing and delivery details, choosing a payment method and confirming with the place-order button. Before confirming, you can review and correct the details entered.
Once submitted, you will receive an order confirmation by email. The contract is formed when that confirmation is sent. Pi Alfa reserves the right to refuse or cancel orders where stock is unavailable, there is an obvious pricing error or fraud is suspected; in that case we will inform you and refund any amount already paid.
4. Prices
Prices shown are final. The business is exempt from VAT under Article 53 of the Portuguese VAT Code (CIVA), so no VAT is charged. Delivery charges, where applicable, are shown before you confirm the order. The price that applies is the one shown at the time of ordering.
5. Payment
Payment is made using the methods offered at checkout at the time of purchase. Orders are only processed once payment is confirmed. Invoices are issued in the name and tax number given by the customer, where applicable.
6. Shipping and delivery
Orders are sent to the address given by the customer. Delivery times and charges are set out in our Shipping and Returns Policy. Unless stated otherwise, delivery takes place within 30 days of the order date. Risk of loss or damage passes to the customer when they, or a third party they nominate, receive the goods.
We recommend checking the condition of the parcel on delivery and contacting us as soon as possible if anything is damaged or missing.
7. Right to cancel (14 days)
Under Portuguese Decree-Law No. 24/2014 of 14 February, consumers may cancel the contract within 14 days of the day they take physical possession of the goods, without giving any reason.
To exercise this right, you must inform us of your decision by a clear statement, for example by email to info@pialfa.com; you may use the model form below, but it is not compulsory.
Once we receive your notice, we will refund all payments received, including standard delivery costs, within 14 days, using the same payment method used for the purchase unless agreed otherwise. We may withhold the refund until we receive the goods back or you provide proof of return. You must return the goods within 14 days of notifying us, you bear the direct cost of returning them, and you are liable for any reduction in value caused by handling beyond what is needed to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.
Under Article 17 of that Decree-Law, the right to cancel does not apply, among other cases, to sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed after delivery, or to goods liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly.

If goods are not in conformity, you are entitled to have them brought into conformity (repair or replacement), to a proportionate price reduction or to terminate the contract, as provided by law. For products with a use-by or best-before date, conformity is assessed taking that date and the storage conditions on the packaging into account.
To make a guarantee claim, contact us at info@pialfa.com with your order number and a description of the problem.
9. Product information
We aim to keep product descriptions, images and information accurate, but there may be slight variations in colour, appearance or packaging.
