Shipping and Returns Policy

This policy applies to purchases made in the pialfa (Pi Alfa brand) online shop.

1. Shipping

We ship to Portugal, European Union countries and other international destinations.

• Portugal and European Union: €10; free delivery on orders of €50 or more.
• Rest of the world: €10.
• In-store collection: free in Macedo de Cavaleiros, once we confirm your order is ready to collect.

Cash on delivery is available for Portugal only and adds €10 to the order total.

2. Processing and delivery times

Orders are normally processed and dispatched within 1 to 3 working days of payment being confirmed.

The following times are estimates and may vary for reasons beyond our control:

• Mainland Portugal: 1–3 working days;
• Madeira and the Azores: 3–7 working days;
• European Union: 3–10 working days;
• Rest of the world: 7–21 working days.

During busy periods, public holidays or events beyond our control, delivery may take longer. If your order is significantly delayed, contact us so we can check its status.

3. Right to cancel

Under Portuguese Decree-Law No. 24/2014, consumers have 14 days to cancel the contract without giving a reason, starting from the day they take physical possession of the goods.

To exercise this right, let us know within that period at info@pialfa.com, stating your order number and the items you wish to return. Products must be returned without undue delay, properly packed and, wherever possible, in their original packaging.

For hygiene and health protection reasons, we cannot accept returns of food or health products that have been opened or whose safety seal has been broken, unless they are faulty or not as described.

4. Return costs and refunds

The direct cost of returning goods is paid by the customer, unless the product is faulty, not as described or was sent in error by us. The customer is liable for any reduction in value resulting from handling beyond what is needed to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

Once we receive the returned goods, or proof that they have been sent back, we will refund you within 14 days at the latest using the same payment method, unless agreed otherwise. We may wait until we receive the goods or proof of return, whichever comes first.

5. Legal guarantee

Goods are covered by the legal guarantee of conformity under Portuguese Decree-Law No. 84/2021. If you receive a product that is not as described, contact us at info@pialfa.com with a description of the problem and, if possible, photos. We will look into it and tell you the legally applicable remedy.

6. Complaints and dispute resolution

Customers can file a complaint in the Portuguese Complaints Book, available online at livroreclamacoes.pt. You may also use the competent consumer alternative dispute resolution bodies or the EU Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform, where applicable.
